Release History

The 1.0 beta 2 release has been tested with MySQL versions 4 and 5 on Mac OS X 10.4, FreeBSD 4, and Ubuntu Linux 5.

The 1.0 beta 3 release should fix a problem where the configure script in beta 2 works correctly with Spread 3, but creates an incorrect Makefile for Spread 4.

The 1.0 beta 4 release addresses a linker issue with Linux on x86_64 where the -fPIC flag is required. It has been tested on two varieties of 64-bit Linux: Ubuntu 5.10 and Gentoo.

The 1.0 beta 5 release fixes a bug where a query like "SELECT mesg_handle(concat('name = ',name)) FROM table" could cause the server to crash.

The 1.1 branch includes new feature development. 1.1 alpha 1 introduces a timeout option in the recv_mesg() function, and alpha 2 fixes a memory leak in alpha 1.
